“The children looked forward to their sessions and enjoyed the activities - it did seem to reduce their worries. We would love to do it again next year.”

From a SENDco
“The children now use this project to explain their emotional wellbeing during lessons and throughout the day. Their characters are a great support, and they place each of these on their desks. When asked they can state the emotion they are feeling by either answering verbally or pointing. This has been particularly useful for children who have been diagnosed with ADHD or ASD. I hope the project is re-commissioned as the children have gained so much from this intervention. Jane this was a great idea and one I hope can be done again as the children have found it very rewarding and helpful emotionally.”

From a parent
“Isla has always been a worrier and struggled to express her feelings, thinking she may upset others. She started showing signs of panic attacks, which worried me a lot, I just wanted to make it all ok. I’d heard about Headssup from my sister and as soon as Isla started to use Headssup she started to be more confident and talk more about how she was feeling. She loves the EMI videos and each day fills in her emotions journal. Isla has even been telling her friends all about EMI and that she loves to take time out to relax when she feels herself getting upset. We still have a way to go, but she has shown so much progress just in these past few weeks.”

“Firstly – I think the Headssup animations are an excellent package. I personally see the importance of Emotional Intelligence. I believe that if we can improve a child’s ability to identify, interpret and manage their own emotions, their mental health will be much improved, as will their ability to resist substance abuse or violence. The layout and organisation is very clear. The content is engaging and age appropriate. Well done!”
