A positive state

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), well-being is a positive state experienced by individuals and societies. It is similar to health, but also includes quality of life and the ability of people and societies to contribute to the world with a sense of meaning and purpose.

The WHO defines health as a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
